Joshua Dylan Caldwell

Joshua Dylan Caldwell, 30, resident of Benton, passed away Sunday, July 19 ,2020 in Benton. He was the son of Kristin Caldwell of Raleigh and Jerome Patton of Equality. Joshua is survived by a son: Jaxyn Dylan Caldwell, 5, and his mother, Codie Spears: brothers Jakob (Hannah Cockrum) Caldwell and nephew; River, Jason Womack, and sister Casidy Caldwell, grandparents: Sharon and Kevin Hess and the late Terry Caldwell and Violet June Patton, aunts: Sarah (Wade) Brammeier, Mesha Kay (Jim) Slightom, and Susan (Bill) DeVillez, Cindy Morris, Linda Cook, Lisa Shukraft, Millie Patton, uncles Jeff Patton, James Patton, Aaron Caldwell and Shaun Caldwell, great grandparents: Mesha and Bill Ervin and Roma and Roy Caldwell. Joshua played football and ran track at Herrin High School and played football at Assumption High School.  He loved music, m searching for arrowheads and camping in southern Illinois. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Harrisburg. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Monday, July 27, 2020 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. Chris Winkleman officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg.  Visitation will be 11:00 am to service time on Monday.
