Judith "Judy" Faye Chandler, a resident of Eldorado, was called home on February 28, 2026, at the age of 78. She was born on May 16, 1947, in Gallatin County. She spent her life dedicated to her family and friends as a devoted homemaker. Judy was the beloved wife of the late Lenwood Chandler and the cherished daughter of the late Vesta and Ray Thorne. Her gentle spirit and warm heart touched the lives of all who knew her. She leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly. Judy is survived by her two sisters, Betty Casteel (Keith Casteel) and Lisa Givan (Jerry Givan), as well as her brothers, Steve Thorne (Denise) and Jim Thorne (Tena). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements -Colonial Terrace Funeral Home, Eldorado, Il. A graveside service to honor her memory will be held at 1 pm Thursday, March 5 at Cave Hill Cemetery in Cave-in-Rock, Il. with Rev. L. D. Jolly officiating. Judy’s family and friends are invited to gather there and pay their respects to a woman whose life was marked by kindness, love, and unwavering dedication to those she held dear. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved husband and parents. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the family to help offset funeral expenses. Both will be accepted at the Funeral Home.
