Julia Ann Poole

Julia Ann Poole, of San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2020, at the age of 79. She was the daughter of the late Landis and Mary Rister of Eldorado, Illinois, and the wife of the late Clayton Poole.

Julia aka Judy was name that folks knew her by. She was loved by many. She truly loved her family and would give her shirt off her back for any of them or anyone. Being a lover of the outdoors, Judy loved to garden and bird watch and among her favorite 
special times were fishing with her son and grandson. Judy knew the joy of being a woman in her appreciation of “fashion and bling”. Judy enjoyed her life with laughter and was an avid bingo player who was quiet lucky at that. Family was precious to her and the sparkle in her soul never left her spirit. 

Julia is lovingly remembered by her children: Ricky Milligan and wife Dorothy, daughter Lora “Lola” Milligan; and grandchildren Joshua and Bethany and her beloved poodle “Chester” all of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters Landa Rister and Sandy Gwaltney and numerous nieces and nephews all of Eldorado, Illinois.

The family would like give special thanks to the staff at TruCare Living Center, as well as, the staff at Heart to Heart Hospice for the love and care they gave Julia.

A Memorial Service will be decided and announced at a later date.
