June Ellen Jarrells

June Ellen Jarrells, age 81, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully in her sleep at 11:50pm August 24, 2021. She was born April 21, 1940. June was married to Howard Ray Jarrells, who survives, on September 4, 1964. She loved her kids, grandkids, and all their friends. She enjoyed planting flowers, and spending time with her cats.

June was one of the founding members and past president of The Saline County Genealogical Society. She was an avid reader, and loved researching local history. She was instrumental in helping put together the pictures at Harrisburg City Hall and help compile the book Reflections of the 1937 Flood. June loved spending time with her girlfriends. They called themselves “ The Old Sisters” and met every week for lunch. The “Sisters” had fun traveling around going “junking” together. In addition to her husband Ray, she is survived by her daughters Janis (Curt) Wilson, and Linda(Alan) Lane. Grandsons Ben Wilson and Mitchell Lane. Granddaughter Brittany (Kyle) Hodson and three great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her son Robert (Bob) Sisky and her parents Leo and Romola Fowler. Per her wishes she will be cremated and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
