Larry Wargel

Larry Wargel, 72, resident of Eldorado passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Ferrell Hospital. Larry was born February 24, 1949 in Eldorado to the late George and Johanna (Naas) Wargel. He served in the US Army. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Larry worked over 45 years as a letter carrier in Harrisburg. Larry is survived by three sisters: Linda Wargel of Eldorado, Emily Bridges of Henderson, KY, Mary Ruth Rabe of Maker, MT, a sister-in-law: Johnsie Wargel of Eldorado and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by seven siblings: Paul Wargel, James Wargel, Donald Wargel, Fred Wargel, Virginia Hobbs, Lillian Miller and Shirley Wolf. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eldorado with Fr. Christian Iwaugwu officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to service time at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary’s Cemetery Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
