Lillian Beryl (Cummins) Harrawood

Lillian “Beryl” Harrawood, 92, resident of Galatia passed away Friday, October 14, 2022 at Eldorado Nursing and Rehab. Beryl was born October 5, 1930 in Harrisburg to the late Ralph and Callie Beryl (McNeil) Cummins. On September 20, 1947 she married Raymond Harrawood who survives. Along with being a loving mother and farmers wife she was a manager at the Farm Fresh store in Harrisburg for many years. She was a member of the Galatia First Baptist Church. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons: David (Debra) Harrawood of Galatia, Stan (Reeba) Harrawood of Galatia, grandchildren: Kim (Mitchell) Jenkins, Susan (Clint) Mosby, Jeff (Candida) Payne, Scott (Amanda) Payne, Mark (Dawn) Payne, Matt Harrawood, Amy (Chris) Bean, Dana (Kyle) Oglesby, Josh (Michaela) Harrawood, Jacob (Jasmine) Harrawood, 26 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter: Marilyn Payne, a sister: Shirley Shewmake and a brother, Ralph Cummins, Jr. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Monday, October 17, 2022 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with Jacob Gray officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lindale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
