Mary Lou (James) Eckleberry

Mary Lou Eckleberry, 92, resident of Galatia, formally of Eldorado, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 at her home. Mary Lou was born July 19, 1931 in McLeansboro, Illinois to the late Herman and Ruth (Wilson) James. She married Danny Eckleberry who preceded her in death. She worked for many year as the secretary of the Eldorado Gospel Assembly Church. Mary Lou is survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Ruth Marie Eckleberry, four siblings: Robert “Bob” James, Cecil James, Anna Belle James, June Hall and a niece: Beth Ann James. Cremation arrangements have been accorded and a memorial service will be announced in the spring.
