Mary Ellen Mosby, 75, resident of Eldorado passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 at the Shawnee Senior Living Facility in Herrin, Illinois surrounded by her family. Mary was born in Shawneetown to the late Thomas L. and Ruth Ellen (Gott) Couser. On June 7, 1969 she married Allan Mosby who survives. Mary was a business teacher at NCOE High School and retired after 34 years. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eldorado. In addition to her husband she is survived by a son: Tim (Diana) Mosby of Houston, TX, two daughters: Tammy Mosby of Morganfield, KY, Debbie Golden of Harrisburg, two sisters: Minnie Villani of Carbondale, Margaret (Jim) Nagasawa of Skokie, six grandchildren: Cole Mosby, Emma Mosby, Justin (Steff) Golden, Dylan Golden, Hannah Golden, Maggie Hathaway, a great granddaughter: Layla Golden and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers: Lewis, Harold and Martin. A mass of christian burial will be said Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eldorado with Father Christian Iwaugwu officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Eldorado. Visitation will be 4-7pm Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with a prayer service at 7pm.
