Matthew J. Hrecko

Matthew J. Hrecko, 67, passed away early Sunday morning, November 19, 2023, in Mt. Vernon, IL. Matt was born October 13, 1956, in Eldorado, IL. Matt was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew P. Hrecko and Betty Jo (Milligan) Hrecko; and a dear sister, Susan M. (Hrecko) Sumner. He has one surviving child, a daughter, Jacynda Lynn (Hrecko) Nelson of Harrisburg, IL; grandchildren: Haven and Jaliel Hrecko and Olivia Lovejoy; brother Andrew P. Hrecko, Jr.; and sisters Joy (Hrecko) Martin and Lynda (Hrecko) Henderson. A small private memorial service is being planned for this upcoming Spring whereby Matt’s cremated remains will be spread in the Shawnee National Forest, for which Matt had a great love.  Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family via the website www.colonialterracefuneralhome.com
