Michael W. Humble

Michael W. Humble, 76, resident of Harrisburg passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.  Michael was born May 5, 1947 in Mound City to the late Fred and Mildred (Brown) Humble. He married the former Brenda Gayle Garnett who survives. Prior to retirement Michael was a Captain for the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice at IYC in Harrisburg. He also was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 318. In addition to his wife Brenda, he is survived by a daughter: Natalie (Kaysey) Weasel of Harrisburg, a brother: Lewis (Sallie) Humble of MI, two sisters: Carole Bell (Ted) Carroll of CA, Marion Robinson of TX, a grandson: Mychal Gooch of Harrisburg, a step granddaughter: Halle Weasel of Harrisburg, sister-in-law: Sallie Humble of Springfield, brother-in-law: James Madison of Mound City and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: James Humble and Darryl Humble, three sisters: Phyllis Murden, Janet Roundtree and Dorothy Madison.
