Patricia L. (Abell) Boulds

Patricia L. Boulds, 88, resident of Eldorado passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Ferrell Hospital surrounded by her family. Pat was born September 14, 1935 in Ridgway, Illinois to the late James and Estella (Wentzel) Abell. On October 29, 1957 she married Roy “Bill” Boulds who preceded her in death. She was a member of St Mary’s Catholic Church and a member of St. Mary’s Alter Society. She worked as a secretary at the Ridgway High School before becoming a loving mother of her nine children. She enjoyed quilting, reading, puzzle books, enjoyed many trips with family, square dancing, gardening with many years of canning vegetables and sweet corn. Pat is survived by nine children: Becky (Steve) Williams, Donna Rash, Thomas (Kristy) Boulds, Helen (Mark) Goldman, Nancy (David) McGuire, Charles (Karen) Boulds, Patrick (Barb) Boulds, Timothy (Sara) Boulds, Michael (Rachel) Boulds, siblings: Bill (Donna) Abell, Larry (Rose) Abell, Connie (Jim) Roemelin, Carolyn (Dal) Divine, sister-in-law: Helen Abell, thirty grandchildren: Karen (Kevin) Garman, Christina (Otis) Miller, Rachel (Adam) Tucker, Sarah (Jonathan) Adams, Matthew (Allison) Williams, Abby (Josh) Williams, Paul Williams, Doug (Brandi) Rash, Nick (Ashley) Rash, Megan Robershaw, Samantha Jo (Tyler Setzekorn) Boulds, Jeremy (Adrianna) Boulds, Emily (Ryan) Neal, Michelle (Austin) Bradley, Dustin (Lacy Jo) McGuire, Whitney (Cole) Carter, Clay (Bridget) Boulds, Caleb (Haylee Brown) Boulds, Matt (Ansley) Boulds, Jessica (Brent) Lewis, Bradley Boulds, Samantha Peyton Boulds, Laura Boulds, Joseph Boulds, Mary Boulds, Charles Michael Boulds, Catherine Boulds, Alysha (Dakota) McGowen, Mikaylah Boulds, Jason Boulds, twenty-nine great grandchildren: Noah Garman, Natalie Garman, Baylee Miller, CeCe Miller, Ben Tucker, Will Tucker, Aiden Fiore, Eli Adams, Samuel Williams, Zachary Williams, Maddex Rash, Mila Rash, Ethan Omohundro, Avery Rash, Case Rash, Colton Patrick, Eli Robershaw, Kenna Robershaw, baby Hudson Boulds arrival in May, Ryder Neal,  Kamden Neal, Madelynn Neal, Levi Bradley, Charlee Kate Bradley, Blakely Boulds, Lane Boulds, Callen Boulds, Koltin McGowen, Brody McGowen, Lawson McGowen. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sisters: Mary Ann Abell, Dorothy Hudspeth, Helen Maloney, four brothers: Infant Jacob Abell, John Abell, Kenny Abell, Donald Abell, an infant grandson: John William Boulds and a son-in-law: Derak Rash. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:00 am Monday, April 15, 2024 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eldorado with Fr. Christian Iwaugwu and Fr. Tom Barrett officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 pm Sunday at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Eldorado. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Cemetery or for masses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
