Peggy Joyce (Flynn) Dale-Byard

Peggy Joyce Dale-Byard, 86, resident of Elizabethtown passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Carrier Mills Nursing and Rehab. Peggy was born February 13, 1938 in West Frankfort, IL to the late Frank and Pauline (Hinton) Flynn. in 1956 she married Cecil R. Dale who preceded her in death January 28, 1988. Later she married George T. Byard who also preceded her in death in October of 2022. Peggy is survived by three children: Bob Dale (Lori Bowen) of Raleigh, Danny Dale of Erin, TN, Ramona Dale-Bayne of Erin, TN, a sister: Betty Stone of Carrier Mills and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by seven siblings: Dallas Flynn, Jack Flynn, Don Stewart, John “Jay” Stewart, Dennis Stewart, Wanda Nogle and Mary Owens. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the Junction Baptist Church with pastor David Wood officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 am until service time on Sunday at the church. Burial will be in Empire Cemetery in Elizabethtown.
