Rev. Charles “Red” Metcalf, 90, resident of Harrisburg passed away Monday, February 5, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Charles was born December 13, 1933 in Muddy, IL to the late Charles and Pauline (Jones) Metcalf. He was a minister and pastored many area churches over the years. He married the former Doris Farris who survives. In addition to his wife Doris, he is survived by two children: Ronald (Madona) Metcalf of Doniphan, MO, Sheryl (Lyndell) Haney of Harrisburg, a brother: Mitch (Vicki) Metcalf of Kansas City, MO, grandchildren: Robert Metcalf, Gary Metcalf, Charles Long, Colten Goins, Kayla Morris, great grandchildren: Malaki Metcalf, Kayden Metcalf, Gage Metcalf, Robert Brown, Jackson Long, Alexander Long, Rosemary Long, Kayden Goins and several nieces nephews and cousins. Funeral services for Charles will be at 1:00 pm Friday, February 9, 2024 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. Russell Helton officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 am to service time on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lindale Cemetery in Eldorado.
