Rev. Dr. Brian J. Atra, "BJA," 61, resident of Carbondale passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at his residence. Brian was born November 8, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Chester and Virginia (DeWolfe) Atra. He was a Pastor and a College Professor. Brian is survived by a brother: Bob (Kristy) Atra of LaGrange, Indiana, a sister: Cathy (Nitin) Jain of Evanston, Illinois, nieces and nephews: Mason, Eli, Baylor, Sachin, Sammy and Karina. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2022 at Colonial Terrace Funeral home in Eldorado with Pastor John Truitt officiating. Visitation will be Monday 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
