Roby K Podoriscki, 63, resident of Harrisburg, IL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Roby, better known as Dad, Papaw, and Pod, was born on September 13th, 1961 in Eldorado, IL to Ronnie Podoriscki and the former Lynda Sue Nolan (Henley). On July 3rd, 2000, he married the love of his life, Delia Mary Wenzel; they will be married 25 years on July 3rd, 2025. They have two beautiful children, Blane Podoriscki and Ann Marie Podoriscki. Roby was a coal miner for 35 years, he was also the Director of Maintenance at Brookstone Estates and loved all of the staff and residents. He was a member and sacristan of St. Mary Catholic Church, a 3rd degree member of Knights of Columbus, member of the Harrisburg Elks Lodge #1058, and the proudest shareholder of the Green Bay Packers. Roby loved spending time with family, jeep rides, bass fishing, dirt bikes, his pool, and his faithful canine Kane, who is so happy he is now in heaven with him. Roby is survived by his wife Delia Mary; Son Blane Podoriscki, daughter in law Haleigh Podoriscki, and their daughter Everleigh Mae Podoriscki (Roby’s first and only granddaughter); Daughter Ann Marie Podoriscki (Landon Rapp); Father, Ronnie (Janet) Podoriscki; Brothers: Scott Mobley, Brent Henley; Sisters: Cynthia Henley, Allison (Tom) Roper, Andrea (Neil) Stowe; Brother in law: Stacy (Pam) Wenzel; Sister in law: Holly (Greg) Jackson. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins he dearly loved. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather George and Lynda Henley. Mother and Father in law Jerry and Sue Wenzel. Grandparents KC and Charlotte Nolen and Leo and Virginia Podoriscki. Services will be Monday, April 7th, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg with Fr. Christian Iwaugwu officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00am until 2 pm and mass to follow. The KCLA will provide dinner after mass. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery near Shawneetown at a later date.
