Ronald Wayne Clark peacefully passed away on his seventy-fifth birthday on August 20, 2024 in Evansville, Indiana after a brief illness. Ron was born in Garnerville (rural Carmi,) Illinois and will be remembered as a treasured brother, grandfather and friend. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ellamae Clark; son, Garrett Clark; and beloved wife, Joyce Clark. He is survived by granddaughters, Annie and Abby Clark; daughter-in-law, Amanda Clark; stepchildren, Andrea, Lee and Mark Cody; brother, Gary (Shirley) Clark; two nieces and a nephew. After graduating from Eldorado High School, Ron served in the U.S. Navy as a parachute rigger. He later went on to graduate from Southern Illinois University with a degree in economics. When not working, Ron was an avid bowler, golfer, and farmer. He loved spending time on the course with his many golf buddies where he was known as “Moosey.” He was always ready with a joke, especially for his brother, his favorite and “second-favorite” nieces and nephew. He cherished his time spent with his granddaughters, “the sugies,” and was so proud of them. Per his wishes, Ron’s remains will be scattered privately.
