Roy Kenneth Rector sr.

Roy “Kenny” Rector Sr. passed away at his home in Galatia, IL on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. He was born, February 5, 1954 in Crossville, TN to the late Avery and Mildred (Richardson) Rector. Roy was proud to work and was affectionately called “Roy the backhoe boy” by his friends and family. Roy is survived by his children; Roy Kennith (Chrissy) Rector Jr., Angie (Jacob) Brazell of Eldorado, brother, Bobby Rector of Carmi, sister in law, Debbie Walker or Eldorado, grandchildren; Alexandria (Aly), Austin, Aaron, Erica, Beancia, Jasmine, Hayden, Paula Jean, and 11 great grandchildren. Roy was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Carole Jean (Fato) Rector, brothers; David Rector, Tommy Rector, Gary Rector, Danny Rector and sister Darlene Rector Parsons. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, August 25, 2025 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with Dave Angelly officiating. Visitation will be Monday 11:00 am until services time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gholson Cemetery.
