Ruby Adele (Goins) Heaton

Ruby Adele Goins Heaton, 91, resident of Harrisburg passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at her residence. Ruby was born April 1, 1931 in Elizabethtown, Illinois to the late Amiel and Belva (Oxford) Goins. On March 15, 1975 she married Dewey James Heaton who preceded her in death. Ruby was a demonstrator for many companies including Wal-Mart, Kroger and Sam’s Club. She also cleaned churches, mowed yards and tended to the ill. She was on several of the Ross Cottom Bowling Leagues and was an avid gardener, enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Ruby’s favorite job was the promotional person at the stores. She loved interacting with the public. Ruby was a people person. Ruby is survived by a daughter: Della Marie Vinyard (Loren) Hester, a brother: Eschol Goins, five sisters: Agnes McBee, Christine Gilland, Elva Lewis, Gail McBee, Edna Foster, three grandchildren: Dustin (Tracie) Stanford, Thomas (Leslie) Stanford, Sandy (Dex) Stanford Fredrick, and five great grandchildren: Krista Hope Stanford, Zachary EvanStanford, Nicholas Wyatt Stanford, Desalee Brooke Fredrick and Casidee Isabella Fredrick. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers: Ova Goins, Charles Goins and a sister: Sarah Lou English. Services will be private.
