Sandra Leneave, 72, a resident of Eldorado, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Eldorado Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on December 1, 1953, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, to William and Mary (Rosenthal) Sinks. Sandra married Emmett Dale Leneave, and together they shared many happy years filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories until his passing in 2014. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found great comfort and strength in her spirituality and church family. Sandra had a vibrant personality and enjoyed expressing herself through her jewelry and accessories. She loved adding a touch of sparkle and style to every outfit. Above all else, however, Sandra treasured her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with those she loved, and the memories she created with them will be held close for years to come. She is survived by her son, Ed (Amber) Leneave; her daughter, Julie (Jacqueline Biggs) Leneave of Carbondale; grandchildren, Kirsten McGee, Mark Swank, Katelynn Edmonds, Kat Leneave, Dakota Conner, Ari Conner, Hunter Conner, Valencia (Lavonté) Wallace of Granite City, Caleb (Bailee Thomas) Mayberry, and Zachary Schell of Carbondale; and great-grandchildren, Alice McGee, Maris Fernandez, Lavonté Wallace Jr., Julian Wallace, Camila Wallace, and Alexi Thomas. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Emmett Dale Leneave. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado beginning at 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Brian Voight officiating.
