Sandra Kay Riden (Irvin), age 73, of Eldorado, Illinois passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 19th, 2024. She was born on January 29th, 1951 in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of Jim (Carole) Irvin and Betty Irvin and the granddaughter of Guy and Edna Dean. She married Homer Ray Riden and together they shared many years of marriage together until her departure from this earth. She is survived by three sons, James Michael (Amber) George of Herrin, Christopher Lee (Renee) Riden of Old Shawneetown, Justin Ray Riden of Eldorado, one daughter, Nichole
Francis Riden of Shawneetown, and one step-son, Robert Alan Riden. She is also survived by an ever growing number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by a
host of extended family members and friends, including her precious puppy, Trixie. Throughout her life, Sandy had a love for horses and, of course, Elvis Presley. Sandy worked
in a variety of nursing homes in the area and always provided loving care to all of her patients. She will always be remembered for her wonderful holiday dinners and her prowess
in the kitchen. The kitchen was her favorite room in the house and she spent many hours making amazing food for everyone on a daily basis. Anyone who had the opportunity to taste
her famous Cranberries and Snow is truly blessed! In her younger years, she could be found dancing and singing around the kitchen as food was cooked and chores were done. Although
her time on this earth has ended, her legacy and memories will be carried on by those who had the honor and privilege of knowing her. Cremation services have been entrusted to Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado, Illinois. There will be no public services.
