Sue (Carter) Devoy

Sue Devoy, 76, resident of Eldorado passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at her residence. Sue was born April 4, 1945 in Eldorado to the late Lowell E. and Juanita V. (Grisham) Carter. She married Lloyd Devoy who preceded her in death. Sue worked as a nurse prior to retirement. She was Catholic by faith. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary. Sue is survived by a son: Roger (Susie) Devoy of Enfield, a daughter: Kelly (Junior) Boggess of Eldorado, a sister: Cathy Carter of Eldorado, grandchildren: Heidi Farmer, Damian (Ericka) Boggess, Gretchen (Mitchell) Mayberry, Fallon (Robby) Engle, Elijah (Ashlea) Devoy, Rebecca Devoy, Harley (Samantha) Devoy, great grandchildren: Hannah Farmer, Hallie Boggess, Hayden Farmer, Kenley Devoy, Maddux Carney, Jacob Duran, Olivia Mayberry, Abel Boggess, Jet Farmer, Hollyn Boggess, Jarrah Farmer, Isaac Engle, Kaid Devoy, Emerson Engle and Marin Mayberry. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son: Dennis Ray Devoy, a brother: William Carter and a sister: Barbara Smith. Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Colonial Terrace Funeral home in Eldorado. Visitation will be 5-7pm Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery near Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
