Teresa Lynn (Hesterly) Goben

Teresa “Momma Goben” Goben, 68, resident of Eldorado passed away Saturday February 15, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones. Teresa was born on October 12, 1956, to the late Richard and Dolores (Irions) Hesterly. She married Frank Goben on April 25, 1971. They celebrated 53 loving years together and, in that time, had 13 children. Teresa was a stay-at-home mom who dedicated her life to her children. She was always willing to help anyone in need. If anyone that knew her, needed something, she was the first call and always helped without judgement. She enjoyed watching many movies and tv shows. Anything zombies were at the top of the list.  Teresa had a sweet tooth. She was known to enjoy a Hershey bar, solving cryptograms, trips to Walmart, Betty Boop, being surrounded by her family during holidays, and always joking around. She lived a full, busy beautiful life, surrounded by family and loved ones and always with a smile on her face. Her legacy will continue through her children; Tania (Terry), Rachel, Frankie, Robin, Daniel (Naomi), Damion, Savanah, Samuel, Bianca (Eric), Dominiqui (Dave), Dalora, Benjermon, Elliot (Sandra). Her 33 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Teresa is survived by her sister Barbara (Pierre) Ray and many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Robin Goben, grandsons Steven and Kyenan, and her brother Richard Hesterly. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2025 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday. Burial will be in Palastine II Cemetery in Omaha. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Frank Goben offset funeral expenses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
