Virginia Lappin, 96, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. Virginia was born August 28, 1923 in Omaha, Illinois to the late Lawrence Joel and Josephine (Harrelson) Aud. She married Richard Lappin who preceded her in death. Virginia is survived by two daughters: Sandra Genet of Eldorado, Susan (Rick) Reynolds of Hopkinsville, KY, a sister: Ella Louise (Daryl) Reid of Lake of Egypt, grandchildren: Tara (Joe) Ryder, Mark (Amy) Genet, Shannon Reynolds, great grandchildren: Jon Mark Genet, Ben Genet, Justin Genet, Mattie Ryder, Macie Ryder and her faithful canine companion Addie Mae. Virginia’s Love and dedication to her family was her highest priority.  In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers: Joseph Thomas Aud, George William Aud, a sister: Verta Marie Witherell and a son-in-law: Jim Genet.  Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. Danny York officiating.  Visitation will be 11:00am to service time on Saturday.
