Mrs. Virginia Mae Cochran Walters passed away peacefully in her sleep at the home of her daughter and caretaker, Jane, on Monday, October 26, 2020.
Virginia was born September 29, 1933 in Nason, IL to the late Howard and Mildred Cochran.
Virginia was a homemaker whose whole life revolved around her family, both immediate and extended. She was never happier than when she was surrounded by her family.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Henry Earl Walters, her parents, her son, Rodney Dale Walters, a brother, Donald Cochran, and two sisters, Rose Ashleman and Carolyn Reed.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Jane (Greg) Morris of Harrisburg, IL, Beth Ann Walters of Eldorado, IL; two sons, Steven Earl Walters and Stanley (Belva) Walters, both of Eldorado, IL.; ten grandchildren, Jeremy Walters, Jennifer Dolden, Steven (Angie) Summers, James (Melissa) Lester, all of Eldorado, IL, Damian (Tashia) Morris, Felicia (Ryan) Murray, both of Harrisburg, IL, Clinton (Krysty) Price of Marion, IL, Casey (Arianna) Walters, Max Walters and Tabetha Walters all of Eldorado, IL; several great-grandchildren; six sisters, Betty Dennis, Ruth Kirby, Mary Artel, Linda Collins, Diana Milligan and Nancy Milligan, all of Nason, IL; two brothers, James and Danny Cochran of Eldorado, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Friday, October 30th, 2020 at Nason Freewill Baptist Church in Nason, IL. Visitation will be held at 10:30 for immediate family and 11-1 for extended family and friends on the same day.
