Wesley Roy Prince of Eldorado, IL passed away at his home on Monday, February 3, 2025. Wesley was born on November 6, 1988 to Theresa Hobbs and William Reuben Prince. He attended Eldorado High School and Southern Illinois Community College. Wesley is survived by; his two uncles Harvey Hobbs of Eldorado, Illinois and Kenny Hobbs of Hardin, Kentucky, his great-aunt Connie Harbison, sister-in-love Melissa Phillips, nieces-in-love Kinsley Phillips and the unborn baby Phillips in addition to many other family, friends, and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his father, William Reuben “Rube” Prince, and his mother, Theresa Hobbs. Wesley found joy in being an uncle to Kinsley, whom he loved dearly—and who loved him just as much. He was excited at the news of the expected arrival of another niece. Wesley was a devoted employee, of the Depot Coffee and Donuts. He took great pride in his job. He was even known to walk to work in the rain, heat, or snow if he was not able to arrange a ride. His kindness, loyalty, and love that he showed to family, friends, co-workers and the customers at The Depot Coffee will greatly missed and leave a lasting legacy of joy. Through life’s challenges, Wesley held fast to his faith. He attended church at Apostolic Oasis in Eldorado. Wesley expressed this was a place where he felt relief to be loved just for who he was. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday February 22nd, with his Pastor, Rev. Dr. James Stone Sr. officiating. 912 Grant Street Eldorado Illinois 62930. Lunch and refreshments to follow. In accordance with his wishes, Wesley will be cremated and laid to rest next to his mother.
