William Lee Ashby

William Lee Ashby, 74, resident of Eldorado passed away Friday, April 5, 2024 at Continue Care Hospital of Paducah. Bill was born September 4, 1949 in Eldorado to the late William Edward and Eula Irene (Chapman) Ashby. He served in the US Army during Vietnam. He was a Mason and belonged to the Stonefort Lodge. He was a retired coal miner. He married the former Deborah A. Parker who preceded him in death. On June 24, 2023 he married the former Janet Dodd who survives.  In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter: Amy (Gary) George of Eldorado, a son: Chad Ashby of Eldorado, a sister: Linda (Tom) Lentz of LA, a brother: Charlie (Beth) Ashby of Harrisburg, grandchildren: Shayna Ashby, Kaitlyn Ashby, Taylor (Jevin Gallamore) Ashby, Derik George and Damon George, great grandchildren: Avery Barger, Kaiden Barger, Griffin Ashby, Evelynn Wright, Elena Wright, Islah Gallamore all of Eldorado, step-son: Charles (Amy) Michel of IN, step-daughter: Laura Hedrick of MI, step-grandchildren: Allison (Dakota) Short of Burnt Prairie, Melissa (Josh) Nurrenbern of IN, Kristina Hedrick of MI, Josh Hedrick of MI, Kyle Hedrick of IN and a step great grandson: Owen Nurrenbern of IN. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. Roy Dale Orr officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 11:00 am until service time. Masonic Services will be at 12:30 pm and military services will immediately follow funeral services.
