William C. “Sonny” Boggess, 82, resident of Eldorado passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Eldorado Nursing and Rehab. Sonny was born in Eldorado on July 17, 1938 to the late Woodrow Cecil and Faye (Payne) Boggess. Sonny was a retired Coal miner. He served in the US Army. He married the former Sharon Sue Lampert who preceded him in death. Sonny is survived by two sons: William C. “Junior” (Kelly) Boggess of Eldorado, Aaron (Angela) Boggess of Eldorado, a daughter: Julie (James) Atkinson of Eldorado, a brother: Leo (Billie) Boggess of TN, 12 grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren and a special friend James “Spanky” Summers. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a daughter: Faye DeBose. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Helton officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 am to service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
