William Eugene Davis

William Eugene Davis “Skee” 82, resident of Eldorado, Ill. passed away on December
6,2025 at Ferrel Hospital of Eldorado, Ill. William was born in Du Quoin, Illinois on
March 3, 1943, to the late William and Irene Davis.
He is survived by his brothers Jimmy (Carolyn) Davis of Pinckneyville, Ill; Robert Davis of
Wayne City, Ill; Son-n-law Daren Holyfield of Pinckneyville, Ill; Daughters: Debbie (Richard)
Linder of Eldorado, Ill; Karla (Chris) Mossman of Equality, Ill; Son: Robert Hungate of
Elizabethtown, Ill; Grandchildren: Willie Holyfield of Pinckneyville, Ill; Harley Holyfield of
Pinckneyville, Ill; Daren Holyfield of Bonneterre, Mo; Billy Holyfield of Corning, AR;
Rebecca (Scott) Albers of Columbia, Ill; Jennifer Sapp of Eldorado, Ill; Wesley Creamer of
Eldorado, Ill; Jamie (Andy) Ellis of McLeansboro, Ill; Jonathan Linder of Harrisburg, Ill;
Jessica (Gerald) Hollowell of Evansville, IN; Emily (Josh) Watters of Eldorado, Ill; Whitney

Williams of Harrisburg, Ill; Joseph (Sarah) Linder of Eldorado, Ill; as well as his 30 great-
grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his wife Ladine Davis, daughter
Mary Beth Holyfield, and sister n law La Deana Davis.
William “Skee” was married to the love of his life Ladine Davis for 47 years. They were
members of the River of Life Church in Harrisburg, Ill, and prior to moving to Equality, Ill
they were members of Jesus name Pentecostal Church in Fairfield, Ill.
William was an electrician in the mines, as well as owning his own music store. William
had a passion for music, and you could always find him playing one of his many Guitars
rather it be at home with Ladine, together with his brother Bobby, especially in church with
his “music buddy” as he called her, sister Stacie Morris, or holidays with family.
William’s family would like to thank the staff at Ferrell Hospital, the staff with Charles Ford
Hospice in New Harmony, IN for their compassion, his friends at Eldorado Nursing home,
and a special thank you to Brother Gentry.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Brother Gentry officiating.
