Wilma Grace Mathias, 85 of Houston, Texas passed away at her home on October 17, 2019 from this life to receive Salvation’s Promise of Eternal Rest with the Heavenly Father.
Grace was born February 13, 1934 in Eldorado Illinois to Norval and Ethel Bean. Grace married, Jackson Skeen Mathias Sr. August 30, 1952. They were married for 32 years until Jack passed away in December 1984.
She is survived by her three sons; Jeff Mathias of Houston, Texas, Skeen Mathias of Tomball, Texas and Scott Mathias and wife Dana of Longview, Texas.
She is also survived by her six grandchildren Lindsay Mathias, Josh Mathias – wife Amy, Luke Mathias, Nathan Mathias – wife Stephanie, Samantha Mathias and Jordan Mathias She had one precious great granddaughter, Emma Mathias, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Mathias; a grandson John-Mark Mathias. Her five sisters, LaVerne Ego, Stella Anderson, Romayne Jones, Ruth Anderson, Joyce Miller and two brothers Ralph Bean and Delmon Bean.
Grace lived as a testament to her name, showing God’s grace of unmerited favor not only to her family and friends but to all who knew her. She trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as a little girl. Grew and lived her faith as testimony to God’s gift of salvation therefore leaving a legacy of faith to her generations.
Visitation will be on Friday October 25th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Forest Park Westheimer funeral home. Funeral Service will be at 1:00pm Saturday, October 26, 2019 with burial in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. Services are entrusted to the care of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home of Houston, Texas.
