Joseph Oleson, 61, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by those who loved him on the evening of September 4, 2016. Joey was born on September 25, 1954 in Gary, Indiana. He has lived in several different towns before making Harrisburg his home in April 2007. This is when he moved to Turner Manor in Harrisburg with his best friend. In November of 2015, Joey moved into the new Coleman Tri-County Triple S CILA group home with his best pal and several of his staff from Turner Manor. Joey loved to spending time with friends, listening to the TV or radio and being read to. Joey is survived by his special friend, Thomas Zajac. Joey has had a special place in the heart of many of his caretakers over the years, and he will be missed by all. Graveside service will be conducted by Father Abraham Adejoh on September 7, 2016 at 11am. Interment will be at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg, Illinois.
