Robert Lee Sullivan, Sr., 80, resident of Eldorado passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at his residence. Robert was born September 21, 1936 in Ledford, Illinois to the late Charles R. and Pauline Rose (Atkinson) Sullivan. He married the former Mary Lou Poe who preceded him in death May 2, 2014. Robert and his wife Mary Lou ran several service stations in their earlier years. Robert is survived by four daughters; Sharri (Randy Deering) Hamilton of Harrisburg, Paula (Bradley) Hopkins of Eldorado, Tina (John) Stafford of Raleigh, Peggy (Bob) Flatt of Hardin Co., a brother; Terry (Dee) Sullivan of TN, a sister; Pat (John) Schmitt of Eldorado, seven grandchildren; Tisha (Preston), Taryn (Matthew), Brent (Annika) Hopkins, James (Tracy), Heather (Ross) Casteel, Ben Flatt, Shane Hale, ten great grandchildren; Kain, December, Lena, Isiah, Connor, Blakely, Taylyn, Maryn, Austyn and Mya and a special caregiver; Melissa Schmidt. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter; Ruth Ann Sullivan, a son; Bobby Sullivan, a granddaughter; Angelica Rose and a brother Charles Buddy Sullivan. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. Kendall Jones officiating. Visitation will be Saturday 11:00 am to service time. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg.
